Live at OPB: Kelli Schaefer

Watching Kelli Schaefer perform is an enthralling experience. The Portland native moves on stage with a subtle anxiety that adds urgency and importance to virtually every word she sings. And can she ever sing. Throughout her second album, No Identity, Schaefer’s voice shakes with intensity but she tempers its power with impressive control, effortlessly shifting from near screams to spoken word, sometimes within the same breath.

Kelli Schaefer joined us in the studios at OPB in Portland recently and performed songs from No Identity, a rock record that specializes in dark, moody, and sonically-complicated songs.
